Passion

Our Tours: We are passionate about providing amazing sustainable tours and showcasing our beautiful region. We believe tourism can be a force for good and should benefit both the people who enjoy our tours and the environment in which we operate. Our goal is to provide memorable ecotourism experiences while minimising our environmental impact and creating a greater understanding of the local marine environment.

The Region: We are passionate about promoting the Adelaide region and South Australia as a whole. Our staff enjoy supporting local businesses and tourism experiences across the state. We believe our beautiful state has so much to offer and welcome any opportunities to promote other local businesses and experiences.

Sustainability

At Temptation, we strive to ensure we are as sustainable as possible. We partnered with Greenfleet in 2021 to offset our Carbon Emissions through their carbon offset program which plants native flora in Australia and New Zealand. We use solar powered electrics, light engines and sail when practical to limit our fuel usage.

We strongly believe that in order to maintain our long-term success rate on our Wild Dolphin Tour (and to look after our dolphins!), we must ensure we have a minimal impact on Adelaide’s wild dolphin population.

Education

Onboard Temptation, we believe that we have the perfect platform to educate our customers about our resident dolphins, the local environment and the incredible region we live in. Our tours are hosted by our knowledgeable Marine Biologist guides who are there to answer all questions ocean related. We offer opportunities for school groups and universities with an educational focus, striving to ensure that our information is up to date and in accordance with recent scientific publications. We aim to educate our customers and the wider public to inspire a greater appreciation, understanding and awareness of our beautiful dolphins and coastline.

Respect

Temptation Sailing acknowledges and respects the traditional custodians of the land and waters in the Adelaide region, the Kaurna people and their deep connection with the local land, water and wildlife. We are aiming to incorporate cultural elements and knowledge into our current tours.

At Temptation we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive and enjoyable space to anyone who comes onboard.

Fun

We strive to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone that joins us on board Temptation – whether it be the customer, collaborator, volunteer or staff member.

Informing our clients about sustainable tourism and, where appropriate, encouraging them to participate
Working with our suppliers and partners to achieve sustainable goals and practices
Publicising good practice to encourage and spread awareness about sustainable tourism
